How to port friend to my homestead?

I've read every thread about it and the answers are conflicting. Where exactly does the homestead owner enter his HS so friends can port to it? The buddy list only has 2 options, and neither of them have anything to do with helping a friend port to your homestead. So where else do I enter my HS? I've also the the complementary service on a new alt to test it, and it ported me completely random so that doesn't work either. Anyone know for sure how to get this to work?

thats because you didn't use the option saying to enter a hearth secret. you also need a claim set as your homestead

thats because you didn't use the option saying to enter a hearth secret. you also need a claim set as your homestead

I have a claim and set it as my homestead. There also is room for a leanto to spawn. But where is this hearth secret?

Also, it seems you can only port to a friend's homestead when they use their free complimentary service? If this is true, them he'll have to walk because he already used that a while ago.

At the wilderness guide, enter the homestead secret for the desired location and press enter. A new button will pop up in place of the text box for you to click.

Also, keep in mind it will only work if you have a claim stone (requires the 'settling' skill to construct) and have it set to your homestead.

I don't see anywhere to enter anything besides paying 30 silver. Do you mean enter the homestead secret in the complementary service box? Because he used that a while ago for his old homestead.
