mineing-ore/lime pattern???

do you really have to do that checkerboard pattern on the wiki? or can you just tossin 12 lime and 13 ore, in there without worry as to where they go in the smelter?

When things get tedious, making patterns is one of my methods of bringing a bit of fun into the not-fun. Probably the same holds true for the person who updated the wiki page.

Oh no. There's some people who were religiously swearing that patterns improved your yield.
