There's a lime deposit nearby, should i claim it? .... and how deep do those deposits go?

...No one can take away a claim right?

town claims can be used to remove personal claim. Lime deposits are theoretically infinite. The only limitation is the fact that while digging you cannot make the slope too steep. So at some point you might have to lower the ground surrounding the deposit. Now, if you want to spend silver to claim then go ahead. But it's quite common resource I hink

Lime rarity differs, it can be common or very rare depending on where in the world you are. If the deposit is in a decent position to your settlement then it might be a good idea to claim it, even if nodes are common in that area. I made the mistake of not claiming one in a very good spot with the reasoning that there were other nodes in the area, and not that many neighbors around me, but eventually someone else DID claim it, forcing me to go to a slightly further for lime runs. You might not need it now, but when you start mining you'll need a lot of lime so having multiple nodes claimed can be a really good idea.
