MacOS: Cannot seem to launch from safari

Hello! I stumbled on your game today and quite keen to try this out. I downloaded the .js file and ensured I have java up to date. For some reason I cannot get the launcher to launch, it just keeps downloading the .js file. I have done the whole unblock third party download to launch but that has not changed anything.

Can someone help a newbie like me

you may have to point it to be opened by javaws (java web start), if your OS doesn't correctly have that on by default (but it should, if you have correctly installed java)

FYI, you really want oracle java and not icedtea for Salem (and most other things that I am aware of )

Yeah I would have thought java would autolaunch but sadly that isn't happening. I double checked the source for the download and my java update and both are from Oracle.

I couldn't find the application that opens java on my Mac, is there a specific tool I need? I can't be the first Mac guy not able to play heh

Thank you Kandarim - I sorted it now and I realise my default application was not set as java web start
