How do I cut down trees? I have an axe but I don't know how to use it

right click the tree to get a menu of actions

you can also get logs faster from the wood piles in the world if you don't feel like chopping forever

So I equipped the axe and right clicked a tree and only got the pick branch option :/

What do I need before I can fish? I have survival skills, foraging, and Colonial Tradesmen. The wiki said all i needed was survival skills.

I figured it out. I need 600 of Hunting and Gathering and Frontier and Wilderness but I can only get 500 of both currently
