Tree trunk across river

Hi all,

A tree I was cutting down has fallen over a deep nearby river. See screen cap: Image

I'd like to move the trunk, which requires me to turn swimming on, which of course makes it impossible for me to grab said tree trunk.

Any suggestions on how I could get rid of it or move it?

It will be stuck there forever, but someday it might turn into a hollow log ;p

Pro tip: Trees always fall directly away from the side you are chopping on.

Wish I knew that before the tree I was chopping fell down on my house and double wall

Yes, thought that might be possible. Here I come 'Seamanship'!

Thanks for all the replies.
