Will we ever be able to upgrade a wall from a lower grade to a higher grade? It would be nice to see something like that in a future update

I don't think there are plans for this. It's been brought up before. walls are ez to make and destroy so its not a big deal really.

Upgrading walls would not make a lot of sense...somebody with 15 stone hedges could just walk around and upgrade their walls, and then they would have 15 of the best walls instead :/

Although I do think some sort of stronger wall would definately be better, I hope they implement seige machines and walls you cannot break by hand(at least in a timely manner), like a brick wall and you would essentially need a battering ram to get through ^_^

They already have plans for bricks and explosives

What if the upgrade would require the same amount of work and materials than building it from scratch? That way you would just "replace" your current wall with a better wall on the same tiles without having to destroy the previous wall first.

Why would you do that, and in turn lower your overall defenses...when you could just put the new wall (that requires the same amount of work as upgrading walls) around your old walls ?

An internal wall for example or if you're out of space for whatever reason.

Well, seeing as how braziers work currently, you would want the best wall inside, not outside. If it's outside then, for a criminal, it only adds more time, during which braziers don't shoot, needed to bash it. If it's inside then it adds more time during which braziers will shoot. Without upgrading one would have to demolish old walls first to place new ones, or build them outside. With upgrading they at least wouldn't have to demolish old walls.
