so i got a 71 purity whetstone applied it to my halberd, its only doing 0.02 more damage than 0 purity wtf is that normal or should it be doing more?

That sounds a bit low. The purity can increase the damage of a sword by up to 10%. If the formula is the same for a halberd (but I'm not certain John made it the same and I don't use halberds) you should be getting a 7.1% increase to the damage.

Did you change your gear or ate mushrooms while testing?
Check your clothing bonuses. Halberd is impact damage. A mining or affluence set with geodes would change your damage bonus by a small value.

no clothing yet, havn't bothered to get a clothing set yet, but at 0 purity i was doing 5.5 damage now i'm doing 5.7
if i get a mining set, or a impact power set how much more damage will it do?

So you're getting a 3.1% improvement which would be 5% improvement at 100% purity. It's very possible that that is correct.

just seems like it should be more :/ high purity whetstones are not cheap i have found
