Leveling Terrain

How do you level terrain, i need to do this to place things within my claim

When you dig, if you press the control key before left clicking on the tile to dig, it will take dirt to level the tile to the lowest corner and if you press control before right clicking on a tile (after having disabled digging) it will drop enough dirt to level the tile to the highest corner. The leveling tools give you a sense of where the high and low spots are, which makes the job much simpler.
Note: you cannot adjust the height of any tile corner adjacent to a structure or tree so, as I learned to my dismay, it is best to level the tile you place your claim stake in before building it. The good news is that farming fields can be placed over the imperfections and fence/wall segments (not necessarily corners) can handle a bit of a slope.

wich of the 2 clients is best for levling? I been getting alot of crashes and freezing with Enders...
