Been wondering if it's just an easter egg or has some kind of meaning.

Looks like you're supposed to put something there, like a carrot, pinoccios nose, or somethings else.

Anyone knows?

Yes, that was the first thing that came to my mind, and some others I asked about this, yet, the umbrella logo has less triangles, 2 less per colour, whereas for instance the old japanese flag has considerably more.

Sure it isn't slightly spiraled like the real world equivalent, but just using straight lines is a lot simpler in the long run.

That's a bit far stretched for an explanation, and it does not really fit the time either.
