Hi guys, I was asking myself what is the best plantable "fuel" for the compost bin. I read on the wiki the list about Fill Points per item but there aren't all the plantable vegetables, just cabbage with its cores and leaves. I usually put meat inside them but hunting for wasting stuff in the compost bin seems not so much worthy since I can probably grow the "fuel" in the fields. Thanks in advance for your time and interest

Bonemeal is i believe 10 points per kilo? If you wanna waste bonemeal on that

Well I probably prefer to use it as a fertilizer to grow more valuable stuff for the compost bin, if ever turns out to be something more valuable than throwing meat a bonemeal inside them. Btw thanks for your reply and time

By far the fastest and least wasteful way, I've found, is, once you have Viscera and Bits, deer hunting and using the slabs as the fuel. Twelve points per. I will typically keep the hide for leather then butcher, keep hooves for glue, brain for leather, delete antlers, keep the slabs then cancel the butcher and move on. If you want to get to the bones to stock up bonemeal as well I would recommend having plenty of skinning blades

for compost bin, usually cabbage core and turkey poop leftover

turkeys

you can compost them
you can use their feathers for insperationals
you can eat them
you can eat the eggs
they eat the extra seed you grow
they eat the compost bin worms that spawn
they eat the worms you dig up

whats not to like about turkeys and compost bins
their poo makes good fertaliser to grow your crops

Actually I have Butcher's Thrift which is the skill to get slabs. I know it is a good way to fill'em up really quick, but I wanna know if there is a plant that once harvested and put in a compost bin give at least twice the humus used to plant it (2 or 5 humus per tile). All of that was because I was thinking of running a self-sustaining farm where what you plant gives the opportunity to plant once again. I don't know if you get the idea

Mmmh yeah but if you leave them grow up without picking eggs or using them for eating purposes, how many turkey coop you need to fill up one compost bin? For now I have just one coop full of domesticated turkeys and I don't find more than 1 or 2 turkeys a day to butcher. One Plucked Turkey gives 20 points but even with two of them isn't enough to fill up a single compost bin.

As for compost bins, I think cabbage core is the best, especially if you raise your Stocks and Cultivars.
If you manage to increase your fields to T3, you can use the cabbage leaves for cabbage crumbs which is kind of a higher end regen food.

As for worms, I like to raise them to pythons to feed turkeys.
Dead turkeys are then cannibalized and poop goes back to compost bin.

And it goes on and on. It's easier with higher Stocks and Cultivar.

No problem sir As of now there aren't pumpkins or potatoes on the fill points list, would be curious to know if they are worthy or not. I tried hay got from cereals and corn husks, but they are not worthy to be farmed for compost bin fuel.

Pumpkins matured to the largest size give 7.5 per.
