Baby squirrel indeed works as a lure. It seems to last longer than craftable lures.
I did not find a way to increase it's purity, so given it's relative rarity and low purity it may be a good find for some newbie but is next to useless for an established player.
Unless of course if has another use or has to be used in special conditions to show it's power.

It can eat any number of nuts giving a nice hellish giggle sometimes.

I haven't tested to much but does it catch some fish better than other?

As i know, Heff tested it yesterday, but got the same fishes than with other Lures.
And yes, it wears off very slow.
Would be nice to figure out, if we can raise its purity.

Sadly, the Stashes itself have no purity, so you will get always just 0% Babies.
Would be nice to give the Stashes the same purity as the trees you harvest them from. Same as with the Bird Nests.

Yes you can, as many as you want.
It does not matter, it will not change purity.
