I've gotten quite established so far and I have saved up 300 silver.

I was wondering if It's worth it to buy the spanish sabre in boston?

It's worth getting the fencing skill and buying a sabre, but anyone with an anvil can vastly undercut the price of 300s.

Sabre makes deer killing quite easy even with lowish stats if you know what you're doing.
It's been neat to see the evolution of a game. Salem has come so far, and still has far to go. Although frustrating, I think it's been an experience worth the effort.

Yea, that's what I was thinking. I read that getting the smelter is really expensive so I'll save up for that again, but at least I'll be able to make leather and other products.

Smelters take a pretty large amount of effort to operate as a solo player. They are however a massive source of early game wealth. Mid-Late game crop purity matters more.
