Productivity

I know productivity gives bonus to all the civilian skills, mining, weaving, woodworking and feasting but how is it applied? Does one point of productivity equal one point to that skill being performed? I guess I am asking as a last choice when slotting an item would an artifact with 8 productivity be preferable to an item with say 5 weaving?

Example Feasting set:
Feasting +344
Productivity +70
sum = 414
so max 41 gluttony points

to answer your question: yes, it is simply added to all categories as an additive bonus, similar to common combat offense/defense.
I have neither the crayons nor the time to explain it to you.

That actually brings up a question I've had for a while. Does Common Combat Power have a 1:1 ratio with things like Piercing Power?
