Is there people in the game? I started yesterday, I've play a lot and often to the whole server "hi" or thing like it with ctrl + c to open the chat, but nobody ever answer me. I've also walk a lot and I saw nobody, only sometime leanto that aren't used anymore I think and stuff like it, so I want to be sur, there is people that still play to this game? I find this game when I searched for a mmo that allow us to customise in what we want in skill and with a good crafting building, so I rushed "A Formal Education" to have more inspiration.

Oh and also, which object beside tumbleweed and the special leaf from the red tree give a good boost to faith & wisdom? Because these 2 begin to cost a lot of inspiration to use once and I want to get Aristotelien Logic as fast as possible since the quicker we get it, the more inspiration at long term we will have. And is there somebody that need somebody that want to be able to craft city later?

Here's a link to the wiki page for faith and wisdom. You can sort the list on the right on efficiency (faith and wisdom per inspiration at first use) http://salemwiki.info/index.php/Faith_%26_Wisdom. It suggests spamming simple crucifixes.

As for people: That depends which server you play on. Few people are still active on the Popham server; most play on Providence. That said, Providence is not a safe place (it's pvp safe but plenty of bad things can happen to you there) and you'll find few people AFK'ing or generally socialising there unless there is an event.

You can try to look for a group to join in the Planters and Pilgrims subforum: your best chance is starting up with some other newish players (as few veterans will invite you into their town because of the possibility of backstabbing/infiltration).

The chat is local chat only. You need to meet someone to add them. Try hanging out around Providence for a while (the main town)

We are a not so big community, but very loyal playerbase.
Loyal to best (hopefully) friends and loyal to the game itself.
But the world is huge, so it can be that you will not meet people outside for a long time, and when you meet them outside, you should be better very careful, not many are friendly there.

Also in town it could be that people are just doing their tasks and are not in mood to talk with other.
This game is full of tasks and you will be very busy all the time.
Keep on trying to get contact, but don't be sad, if it not work directly, even you get rude answers.

And don't be sad about the rude and toxic entries on forum. There are even people who are nice in this game.

Do it like Kandarim suggested, try to find other beginner in Planters&Pilgrims.

And don't give up when something bad happen to you. And it will, earlier or later!
Go through this and you will hve much and long fun with this game!

Welcome! If you haven't already read the forum thread viewtopic.php?f=2&t=18549 concerning the recent cold patch, you might want to read it as soon as possible. That way you can be ready for the change of season in a few days. Otherwise, you could become a human shaped popsicle!

theres actually a good load of people, but because the area is so HUGE you wil lunlikely meet more then a few players, you can ofcourse port to providence theres a few more players depending on the daytime.
