how join another player in the world?
I have put many homestead in my game but never see anybody online.

Click 'server status' at to of page, itll show you the active players.
The map is quite large as well, so running into others is semi-rare depending on where you've set up camp.

Going to Providence is a good start. Also you may find other players who are recruiting in the Planters & Pilgrim section of these forums.
