Buy Horses?

Just a quick question...I heard mumblings about being able to buy horses (as opposed to renting them).
Is it true or is it hocum? Also, any downsides to renting/buying horses?

JC once suggested this was in the works and I believe him; but I also believed Popham was a short server and it's run how long now?

You could grow old or likely VERY old waiting for JC to make good on his promises.

Frankly, candidly I see JC selling the game to another before animals really come into reality. Maybe Darwoth will buy it or another.

It won't be JC. (He's got a real job with definite deadlines and expectations and supposedly a wife and kids born or on the way...and Salem has been his free time for fun game... and considering how much "free time" he's had of late... I don't think much of Salem's future depending on him... alone.)

Yes, we do intend to have horses be a permanent fixture in the game in the future, though the upcoming update will not include horses. The extra money you can make by foraging faster and finding more feathers and such will pay for a horse pretty quickly so buying a temporary one is worth it, yes.
