I noticed yesterday that a water well was now outside of my base. I thought I remembered reading about an event with water wells a few months back, so I tried putting all coins in it. It took silver coins and washed my rusty coins. I checked to see if it was still there today and it is. I didn't think someone would take the time to build me a water well.

Is there an event with water wells or did someone build a well outside my base?

Destroy it and use prospect to check if a node is there.

There are 2 different prospecting wands, woo woo wand and dowsing rod, one of those finds wells, the other doesn't. I don't remember which does which unless you already checked both wands.

I used the wand and found other well nodes, but not in that area.

It is a wishing well event, throw some silver in it, you have to throw in 100+s i think

I didn't think an event would have lasted that long. I put a couple silver in it but no where near 100. Anyway its destroyed now.

One other question regarding wells. " In the future, water will be given various purity ratings much like Ore and wells will be of greater importance."

The wiki is outdated in many ways. Best not to completely believe everything on there.

If you could throw silver in it then it is an event. When you've thrown enough you get a wish and the well dissappears.
