MAC OSX - Clicking on townspeople isn't working.....

I wanted to know if I could receive some assistance with an issue I am currently facing in-game. I am able to click on everything and every window in game except for the townspeople for some reason. When I right-click on townspeople to initiate game commands, it does not work for me currently. I am using a Macbook Air with the OS Mavericks system. I am also using a mouse to play.
