I have about 300 fruit trees, but only 11 blooming. What am I doing wrong?

You're a hermit? No one else living in your claim? Trees were meant for towns and will be more active when the tile is loaded more.

Well, If I put near trees my alt with 24/7 online, trees will bloom more actively?

The funny thing is Haven bee hives required a similar alt, though for different reasons.

They don't require an alt, they require a player.

If you have no townies, then can opt for an alt, but an alt IS NOT REQUIRED.

No. All things that bloom or can be picked are based on a formula of people loading the screen that they are planted in. What Tmeow meant is that if you have 10 players in a town and they are all continually going into and out of caves, houses, the area then the screen/server will be continually reloading the planted item. The more times they load, the better chance they bloom or spawn fruit.

It's not a matter of having an alt next to it continually. It's a matter of putting the fruit trees in a well used area so they keep getting loaded.

Also use bees and butterflies to help them spawn. The most I've ever gotten was around 40% so don't get your hopes up too high.

What if a person were to build a house in the middle of an orchard, and just enter the house and leave the house over and over again?

The fruit bloom plenty fast with keeping the map loaded without the need to reload the map.
