Not from what I hear. It took me 39k rubble to get one once on a character with 400+ M&M, and 42k another time with 470+ M&M. This time I got 3 in 16k rubble. You're just at the mercy of RNG, as far as I can tell.

i averaged about 12-13k rubble per amethysts, for a grand total of 4 of em. A mix of high-M&M chars and low ones, because I wanted that rubble chipped asap.

do the boulder have to be mined during the bloodmoon or can i just chip old ones?
