So I was robbed and my keys taken from my keyring.
I tracked the claim and found it is just a claimstone. My question is, why cant I lewt the thiefs claimstone like they lewted mine to take back my keys?
I click on the stone and Im not given any options.
Also I have evidence of vandalism, but cant seem to do anything with it. I left click it and right click and nothing happens. Can someone explain what I need to do with this evidence?

Does anyone have a suggestion of what I should do from here? Should I destroy the stone? Or track the perp instead?

if you have larceny and crimes turned on and you cant l3wt, then he isn't homesteaded on that claimstone.. you can use scents to track the criminal, or go to town and put them in the stockades for 500 silver or so

you can track stolen items with larceny scents, but yeah, otherwise you would have to use crimes to get them back anyways

Im not really quite sure I understand the point of tracking then. If tracking to the claim takes me to a claimstone thats not "a homestead", they why did i just waste my time? And if someone was looted, it is likely they don't have the money to pay for stocks.
I do have the money but what the point? I don't get my stuff back.

Ive been playing this game for years and this is the first time I felt inclined to track someone but now Im wondering why I did.

Also if someone used my claimstone to lewt my keyring, then should i not have my claimstone be my homestead? That makes no sense.

I understand you should have an extra key elsewhere but the point is now I have to change all the locks. My upkeep was paid, I had fences & braziers & torches and I was alseep in a bed. I would be ok that I got raided, but if my claimstone is paid how can my person be lewted?

If the person is online, you can't get the loot flower option?

ah, yeah I missed the part that he tracked the claim thats probably what it is then since he would have to be claimed there

take the scents and right click a random leanto to see if the person is dead. what happens is someoen uses a alt to steal then kills it thats why you wernt able to lewt the claimstone and it was pointing to the claimstone
