Granite?

Postby Crithammer » Sat Jun 25, 2016 4:22 am

I might just be an under-experienced idiot, but I've been roaming around all day and I can't seem to find any granite boulders, is there an easier way or did I just roll a bad spawn? Thanks in advance.

The area you settled in might have been farmed out. You can get the skill and dig in stone tiles, you'll have a random chance of getting a granite Boulder.

True advice, move farther west south or north. Safer and better recourses.

All spawnpoints are bad, as I don't think granite boulders ever respawn, and the initial spawnpoints are very close to the main town. Walk much farther west.

I appreciate the advice from both of you, but referring to moving West, wouldn't the mass exodus West make it more dangerous for players who aren't as experienced or equipped?

You get a notification upon entering the darkness border. If you don't hit that I'd say you are safe at a low level.

Yes, if everyone goes west there will be more people to the west than to the north or south. Which is probably the case since many people here like to say 'go west' when giving advice how to get away from town. You can just as easily head north or south or nw or sw. Make a New World Survey to help you decide where you want to go. It's a newbie recipe.

That is *****, sorry to say.
Areas that are not really living have still granite boulder, not just next to the maintown, but all over the map.
But in living areas you will not really find good amouth of initial boulder anymore, because people have still chipped them.

Much Boulder you will find in untouched areas on badlands or crag biomes.
Or like said, you search a nice stone quarry or go to the mountains and start digging for boulder.

Find a Mountain!~

Seriously; mountain zones are proliferate with stone and granite boulders; unless your MM prof is incredibly high you will find more than you can possibly dig out of the ground in any relative time period.

You'll need a fairly built alt to move it in town... and a sledge hammer.
