Invisible wall??

I have reached a point where I keep hitting an invisible wall, but I'm not even in the darkness yet, is it the end of the world or something? Because I see animals and spawns on the other side of "it"

you have reached the end of the map in that particular direction. it happens in the light as well, not only in the darkness.

if you close to the shore, then you will not have darkness at the end of the world.
