Are these used only for offense, as in taking down a town bell or could they be used defensively if built within your walls to bombard attackers trying to take down your defenses? I was going to build one to test, but the 8 blister made me cringe a little.

It is not used in offense really. It cannot destroy a town bell. As of right now the only buildings it impacts are TBF and TBC. If it was ever used in offense it would probably be to keep defenders from getting to the TBF or TBC.

Thanks for the response. I must have reversed it in my head when watching the video's. So you build in inside your walls to bombard the tbf!

Yeah if you can reach the TBF from within the walls. It only shoots as far as render range.

I don't remember why but I used to think it had a range like 80 tiles.

Also cheap drying frames do less than 1% damage to TBF. You will need gardening pots or anvils to be fast

Make an alt on another account so you can spot targets you couldn't normally see.
