My coal clamps are nearly red now and nothing I try seems to work for repairing them (tried logs, coal, branches), is it just not possible to repair them? I would claim them but that isn't possible as I have no silver

I don't think there is anyway to repair them, but if they have already finished burning I don't think they will decay anymore either.

I see, that's to bad. Unfortunately I just made this batch yesterday and already a good number of them are at 50 percent

Yesterday? It sounds like coal clamps take too much decay damage. :)

I've had bright red coal clamps but I've never lost one to decay.

That they are subject to decay at all seems odd to me though. They seem more like farm tiles than looms to me as far as classification.
