I logged in yesterday afternoon, and my main character was not in the list of login options. My alt was.

Was I murdered? If so, can I find out who did it? If not, where is my character? I had committed a crime the day before, destroying a leanto that had been built right up against my base overnight. However, there are no clues as to what happened to my character, and thus, is a frustrating mystery as to what has happened to my months of work.

If you had committed a crime it is quite likely Justice caught up with you. In the harsh lands of Salem, crime will catch up with you, eventually.

Did you notice Trial by Combat in your base? Or did anyone get into your base and destroyed your leanto? You have been summoned elsewhere and killed.
Tip: You can destroy claimed leantos scentless with pclaim.

You have used your main to comit a crime?

Unfortunately you have made a fatal error. I suggest restarting and trying to get back to your base on a new character, as your old one is dead. I see you started not too long ago and I assure you that if you have to create a new life for yourself in Salem, it will be 10x more efficient than your first time playing and you will understand enough to get you back on track very fast. I wish you luck and sorry to hear that you have made the mistake that a few new players make often (Crimes on their main). Any questions just PM me

I was afraid of that. I have an alt, and am trying to get back to my old base. But, I did not have a Will, so have lost everything, not having built up my alt yet. Oh well, live and learn.

You don't need the shopitem for saving your proficiency points and biles a bit, just go to the guy at cementary in Povidence town and plan your estate from time to time. It will cost some silver, but itcould be worth it.

have you tried inherit on a new character, it gives you the same leanto, don't need will to inherit they give bonuses
