how to aquire guano

was wondering if bats drop it as they are flying or if it drops randomly from mined tiles. never found any.

Was curious what this was myself. There's a mention of it in the fertilizer page on wiki, but the page is dead.

My guess would be something to do with Giant Bats. Well that if it is anything like hydraturkeys.
