Cannot buy Coaling

I cant buy the Coaling skill, i have all the requirements but i cannot lear it :/

And btw, how can i get some iron bars without paying in game coins?

According to the Wiki you only need Essential Mineralogy before you can get Coaling, but the page hasn't been updated in months, so that might have changed. Just read the descriptions of some of the logical candidates for unlocking it. If you find it, please report back, so we can update the Wiki.

You can make your own bars by building a mine and smelters. You then need to take ore from the mine and smelt it.

Produce them. That requires you to build a mine, ore smelter/s, coal clamps.

But, to build a smelter you need iron bars...and if you dont have any readily available you have to buy them from the stalls or another player. There is no way around it.

Wrong here, it's also possible to steal iron bars, that doesn't require any silver input.

Yeah, forgot about that. Be sure to get it from another player, though, since Boston is a lot more expensive. Depending on the server you are playing on, you can get a bar for 70-150 silver.

Um, thing is the game currency is obtainable via selling items to NPCs in boston, or things to other players if you have something they want.

You definitely don't need to pay a cent to play this game, it's just convenient compared to earning it in game yourself.
