You can't destroy a claimstone that's still got money in it.
If it doesn't than you're free to walk around to base anyway and then destroy it.

Only on Popham. On Providence it's still an active claim with all the normal effects even when unpaid. Only difference is that the claimstone is destroyable via Waste.

So you will need:

1) That his claimstone is unpaid. This is 2 months or less without putting silver on the stone. You can only be sure if it's unpaid trying to destroy the stone (the toon will walk there without destroying anything if its paid

2) A character with 50 Phlegm and 50 BB if the pClaim don't have any walls AND if it's not too large (like 50 claimed tiles before reaching the stone)

3) Be sure to click just one time to destroy the stone because it gives you a BB drain of like 30.

4) This will leave at least a Waste scent that can kill you the raider if someone collect. It' more than a week of scent. You probably can manage this building a plank wall in the tile of the scent and claiming at least this tile and the surrounding ones.

It used to be that you could build a kiln or hovel over a scent to make it extremely unlikely that anyone would find it, is this no longer possible?

If your neighbour is close to your base and you create a town, you can also eminent domain him without leaving scents.

You can see the scents on the minimap too, so people will know there is a scent there anyway. A 1 tile stone wall will probably cover the whole visible scent too, but I know it draws more attention.

And building a hovel over it is a bug since they're extremely cheap and extremely hard to destroy (in my humble opinion, not sure about the dev's sayings about this).

When I destroy his stone I was going to place mine in its place so the whole scent thing doesn't really bother me. I was more concerned with how much black bile I am going to need to destroy a fence and the stone. Do I need like a tea or something?
