How many tiles need to be clear in between 2 walls of the same strength to prevent splash damage?

It gets less and less likely it'll spread each tile further, so any distance "technically" could splash... But realistically I think the number people throw out usually is a gap of 6 tiles to make it very unlikely that splash damage will occur.
