Can anyone become a witch?

I am still in starting area, I'm rather confused on the mechanics of the game. I leveling skills, but I am hoping to go towards a path of a witch. However, the skill isn't getting available for me.

Can someone explain?

Anyone can become a witch, although another witch is going to have to make an expensive doll and give it to the person who wants to become a witch.

Also, you're better off playing as a regular pilgrim, playing as a witch comes with difficulties.

One of the main reason why I am playing this game is because I wanted to become a witch.

How will I go about finding a witch that would do that for me? lol

Making money to buy a doll and then obviously buying it from someone.

I do not think it is wise for a relatively new player to become a witch, most certainly not on your main character. You have been warned.

Witch is fun however you will leave a scent if you try to curse someone and it fails which is random your humours drain in the light, but that can be prevented by beetle juice, the only plus side is you can go in the darkness without humour drain however unless you have 100-200 humours you will die pretty dang quickly from hydrukeys darkenbears and those big snakes oh and those big beavers, darkenbears will permakill you and hydrukeys and big beavers have a good chance to, also tier 1 witch is boring and it costs 50k silver or killing a lot of fur fur's to become tier 2 on the plus side you have some fun options to curse others with like wands nightmares in the form of teddy bears and cursing crops and dolls which aren't to hard to make but can fail, lets see once you become tier 2 you can bring upon a bloodmoon but in general its hard work and honestly not worth it unless you are 1. very rich 2. have high philisophy's 3. like trolling and 4. know your way around salem so go ahead if you like but its just plain hard work and good chance someone will come along and kill ya then no more witch, on the plus side you can get a doll pretty easily

and its little cool, because you can build claim/town in DEEP DARKNESS where small player here come/live and small chance for ridding (beacuse raid is nerf)

200 biles deal Thrust ~22,3 dmg, so bull and 2x Thrust and easy kill snake (better made little percing power set) and big easy

agree, 1 Tier Witch is FAIL... only + for can live in darkness, but - for prov Town (drain)
and what else ? you can safe chop Tree...

but JC said Witches need revamp and meybe someday we got

JohnCarver has said that there will be a huge witch revamp in the future, after Popham has ended. Your best bet here would be to build up your character as much as you can, and then when the revamp has landed you should become a witch if the interest is still there.
