Yeah, purity multiplies the humor points. And to awnser your question, mostly corn and poultry.

http://salemwiki.info/index.php/Category:Variable_Food

find a food recipe that calls for "any" ingredient, and use this chart to see what variable leans it in favor of what humor. meat for example, rabbit is phlegm, beaver is black, bear is blood and deer is yellow. then spam the hell out of that

Whatever is easier for you. Like hunting? Deviled beaver , like gardening? Shroom salads, like farming? Bajgels, like fishing? Fish taco+roasted corn

People in this thread viewtopic.php?f=5&t=16923&hilit=help+with+humors#p246536 suggested using the omega foods (Froghetti, Garlic Rabbit, Autumm Delight, Garlic Mushrooms). I thought it was terrible advice at first since they burn each group they're from entirely, but the thing is that after 3 points you get a huge f+f debuff reduction, often resetting it entirely since those omega foods have very low f+f for the amount of points they give you. So you end up spamming them almost faster than you can cook them, just make sure to use 3 different ones each session and then stop at 3 gluttony points.

Once you getup to around 45 or 50 or so you won't get a full point from each omega food, but just top it off with poultry or roasted corn or roasted nuts, stuff that has very low f+f debuff. You'll probably end up not fully resetting the timer after 3 points but it'll just be like 5-15 minutes that you can spend cooking more.

Make sure to make the foods for a variety of humors, don't accidentally make them all for blood or you'll have a ****** time raising the others. Luckily all of the omega foods are variable so it's not hard, and garlic stuffed mushrooms with lobster mushrooms and sugar caps are awesome since they cover two humors each.

This works great up to 60. After that, it totally depends on your playing style and what kind of resources your base is producing... One relatively easy and really beefy combination is buying high purity fiber nets (70%+) for like 100s each or so and building them into shellfish traps, then taking the 70%+ shellfish and making red seafood salad with them out of easily gardened ingredients and then you get around 70 points a pop with only 0:30 f+f and it's very easily restorable by garlic spitroast made with wild garlic (also easily gardenable, it doesn't turn into regular garlic very often). Only downside is you still need to find a yellow bile food since lobster is a *****, deviled beaver with deer works well for that though.

^ +1.

I used the omega foods cited (and sometimes some finishers like poultry and berries on a straw) until I reached 75 of all humours.

I swear I will start playing again just to shank the people suggesting deviled beaver in every single thread like this one xD

That aside, at 40 humours deviled beaver , bajgiels and most other stuff is slight overkill. He can still get a kick out of the noob foods with the high efficiency debuffs but short full&fed up timers. So go for jcwilk's advice, as far as you can find low timer foods to cap all three points with, and then I'd sooner suggest the 30-45 minute timer foods than the deviled beaver like options. Also make sure you secure foods from all/ as many categories as that'll mean you'll always have some available stuff in case on category gets unlucky with debuffs.

Oh and get familiarized with the debuff restoring ingredients and their variable food options. Personal favourites for me were the cabbage salad for both garlic and pepper ingredients involved, or for an easier go-to, just garlic spitroast works, with a meal consisting of 2-3 foods of every type and then a bulk of whatever garlic you used. Domestic for poultry, wild for shellfish. Get a good feasting set, or the best you can get, and have big meals to match your feasting set.

So what's good gluttony food for blood at 60 biles?
I like deviled beaver for everything else, but I can't get my hands on a bear, and snakes don't give steaks.
I just started planting pumpkins, cereals, corn and cabbage. Any of that?

As I said, red seafood salad works great for me at that level. Crawdad is for blood which is very plentiful on rivers, and it's easy to get high purity and to make restore food with wild garlic. Each salad will give you a full point and the ingredients all fit into bellpepper/veggie sacks and only the shellfish purity matters.

Poultry is still a great topper, and investing in getting coops up means you can do the more advanced poultry stuff later once you have the ingredients relatively cheaply (turkey sandwich, cornmash gobbler, things with wings, turkish delight) with decent purity.

But yeah it depends on what you enjoy doing, there's lot of great (more complicated) foods from farming, and shrooms have some good stuff too (shroom legume, shroom stuffed bellpeppers). Nice thing about doing gardening is you get bugs for free (frog chowder, pest filled morel, papricharred charcuterie).
