What seems to work best for catching shellfish? I'll fill my traps several times a day and I used to catch at least two or more fish each time I filled the trap. Now I'm lucky if I catch anything at all. I'm catching... maybe 1 or 2 things every TWO times I fill the traps. Just wondering if I'm using the wrong stuff to fill the trap.

There are nodes for fish/shellfish and they are constantly moving. Try moving your traps around and see if you get anything.

Some people like to spread the traps out a bit so that they are more varied and more likely to average out to a consistent yield, as compared to them all being grouped in one spot and all getting about the same yield whether that happens to be low or high.

But then you have to run around a bit to fill/collect them, so meh.
