I havnt used a fishmaster since the mechanics were changed, but I get about 1 per 3 casts average on a makeshift, until the spot gets fished out a bit, then it lowers and I move elsewhere. weight is 100% not affected by rod, that 3.3 I got was off a makeshift. whats your average cast/catch ratio on the high end rods? ive been wondering.

Oh and im fairly sure you catch more in freshwater than in the sea, although that could be bait related.. bait DOES play a part in the number of catches you get, at least from my research

i only use Razzle Tazzle lures, might be worth changing

not sure about high end rods, i use makeshifts since wiki said they only break twice as fast but normal rods cost ALOT more for just 2x less break chance

yeah give it a shot, certain fish seem to like certain lures, I get Sargasso eels off both tasty sink knots, and cricket moths, but I get a noticeable amount more off the cricket moths. silt dwelling mud snappers seem to bite on damn near everything though at about the same rate. Ive been keeping it cheap because I'm using crap purity hooks and dont want to waste the materials on 4% fish. If your going to experiment though, maybe make a list of what and how many you get off each lure, I would love to have that info on here somewhere

Since this is being discussed. I caught a number of fish a couple weeks back. When I dried them they all came back as 1.9 - 0 on what ever their alignment for gluttony sessions. I know I saw someone else got that as well but I was wondering if you guys have gotten a positive number in the gluttony sessions from fish. I was catching fish with weight up to like 2kg.

Icon when you said you caught a 3.3 was that 3.3kgs?

yeah, its the top one on the leaderboard still, under the name Lisa Simpson. I tried drying a bunch of them when I got them back home, but at low purity they were entirely crap, so i used them to refill my traps. didnt even bother trying to glutton with them

Same when I saw the results I just threw them in compost. So me getting 2kg fish was actually a decent amount. Didn't realize. Do you have to turn in a big fish to get on the board or is it just registered when you catch it?

yeah you pick the fish up out of your inventory and right click on McFishsticks, he keeps it but it adds it to the board if its big enough

Ah I thought I tried that it must not have been big enough at the time. I may have to compete with you some since the fish in my lake have probably been alive a lot longer now.

the weights seem to be random, ive tried a few spots now and all of them give me a few 2kg and up, but not enough to get another spot on the board. I assumed at first thats how it worked, catch the big ones in 1 spot and then the rest will all be tiny, now im not so sure though. It's been about a week since I last tried it, I'll have to give it a shot today in the same spot and see how it goes
