1. You need to get your tailoring skill up (thread and needle), oddly it influences all clothing items you make.
2. I am not sure, its unwise to have an empty bell, as far as I heard only the TBH will be active as soon as made but you should get another opinion on it.
3. Nope, but anyone can destroy your claim stone once its out of silver and remove your claim in that way. He will still leave a scent though.
4. Waste claims are big so they will aim for your bell with it unless you have a lot of boundry stones they can go directly for the bell.
5. User Control Panel (next to your new messages), profile, edit avatar.

you can get a teasel and have someone with high tailoring use it on the item you want to reduce the difficulty on, that will lower it to whatever that person happens to get, just like if they were making a new item

Or hire some of the tailors from the forum to make and slot your stuff (they would probably have better chance at slotting as well).

- As far as I know, the main issue with a 0 authority town bell is that anyone with access to it (like a malicious friend) can destroy it (no TbF needed). But if you're alone that should be ok. But wait for confirmations before doing so imo.
- Even with no authority in your bell an alien town can't buy your claim stone
(because to invoke Eminent Domain their vClaim would've to cover you vClaim in order to reach your claim stone, and that's not possible)- You say "they need to destroy my townbell(with no money on it)" but even with money/authority it can be destroyed

nope, only on difficulty25 items, if its 24 or lower it wont work.

as far as I know, it doesn't even work with some 25-difficulty items: the items can't have a tailor associated yet, IIRC. I.e. if a noob crafts a 25-diff haybale, you can't teasel it. You can only teasel items that were never crafted/teaseled before.
Or do I remember poorly? I'm working on a tailor, but not quite there yet, so I haven't bothered teaseling so far.

I think we made it so that any clothing can be teaseled once.
