Can someone tell me where darkness begins on the new world survey map? maybe draw a line

Draw a line down the middle. West of that is darkness for the most part.

Use landmarks, twice to west, 150 silver.

Not quite since light extends from town in a circle. Halfway is approximately the radius though.

The Runestones landmark (port West then North) is light darkness, with only Quetzalcoatls/Argopelters/Rats and a gentle drain like 0.1 humour every 6s

the north boundary along the shore is not yet darkness, though, while the south boundary is. That should give you an indication.
