Hello everyone, I am new to Salem, and I am curious how do people place items straight? I was exploring the lumberwoods amd came across some abandoned bases with boxes that were all lined up so nicely. Now that I tried it myself its like the item is always just a little crooked. Thanks for any ideas

If you're building something, when you first put your cursor on the environment, it centers it on the chosen tile facing the position of your character. Holding shift and scrolling up or down with the mouse will give it a cardinal direction orientation and each scroll will turn it by 45 degrees. In order to be more precise with the placement of the object, after choosing the direction you want it to face, you will want to hold down Ctrl and move the mouse around to get it off the center-of-tile placement.

If the object is already built and in the world and it is being carried by you, you want to R-click the object and you can place it just as if you were building it fresh.
