Random Coughing - But Perhaps Not Disease?

So I often multitask when playing Salem (Typically playing Software Inc. whilst salem runs windowed), and I thought I could hear random coughing from time to time. I assumed it was my other game but playing salem on its own has shown it is in Salem. I have no active players nearby and my character shows no animation when seemingly making these coughing noises. It's been going for over a day and a 40 minute period of afk confirmed my humours are not slowly falling as if I'm diseased. I've yet to be diseased on this character either so I've not received any warning message about it.

Is this genuinely just random SFX playing on purpose or some kind of bug on my end or is disease significantly more long-term than I remember?

*shrug* Crows,Cougars, Some other things have SFX but arent random so this sounds really strange ^^

I'm convinced it's a coughing noise, having seen a tutorial that talked about the symptoms of disease in Salem. There's no cougars nearby I reckon, but of course there's crows.

Unless they are directly over my character, I would doubt it. Sound is far too close to me (Which is why I keep thinking it was my character, but alas my character shows no coughing animation)

Do you live in Darkness... and what is your insanity level... and have you pissed off any Witches lately?

Could be a curse? Have you paid the Priest in town to make the attempt to remove it?
