Sorry to ressurect the old thread.
But I'm thinking of starting again and want to know which servers are up now. Which is the newest, the smallest population, the most peacefull.
How old are servers and will there be new soon.

There are only two servers right now, Popham and Providence.
Popham is the expedition server, it is pvp oriented, has a small map and it should be wiped in a few weeks/months. "Expeditions" are temporary servers, which are supposed to be very competitive and last for a few months.
Providence is a more peaceful permanent server, it is almost 2 years old and there are no planned wipes. Your best bet is Providence.

And to the ask:
If you like to start again, you should do it at Providence, the permanent Server.
There you can settle, learn the game, yes you have to learn again, because since 2013 there are much changes.
If you then have a good idea of gameplay, you can try out the expedition server, if you like to have a fast game with PVP.
This does not mean, that at Providence is no PVP, but much more you find maybe on expedition server.
Even it will be give a reward, if you win the expedition.
Then you will be able to bring some nice goods to providence to improve your life on permantent Providence.
