Today I was going to place a mine support, for that I brought the 2 dry boards, 2 fresh boards needed. When I placed it... magically I had no dry boards. Something like that had happened before, but I thought it was my fault. It's some kind of bug?

Fresh board include dryboard, you have to watch out on what item it take when building

Indeed. You can use dry boards as 'any board' if you wish. So you need to be careful when applying materials to items when one item counts for multiple inputs.
