Quarry Claim

I noticed someone put a claim down on a quarry biome.

If someone was to trespass on the claim and dig up a stone or granite boulder, would that get classed as stealing?
Not planning on doing it, just curious if the game registers the boulder as property as it wouldn't have been there pre-claim.
Now that I'm asking, I just wondered the same about mines. Does the crime icon stay when your underground and what happens if you mined some rubble or ore and took it out with you?

The boulders are property. So are foraged items and things in stumps and logs. Anything on claim.

Foraged items are not property aswell as things growing on trees and bushes. You have to turn on criminal acts and you would leave a trespassing scent entering the claim (only a personal one, walking on town claim doesn't leave a scent), but picking forage and stuff doesn't count as crime and won't leave any scents.
Similar story with the mines: takes a crime to enter, but then everything is free, so you want to keep your mine well protected if you're using it for storage.

conflicting statements and I'm confused now.

I was just about to put a claim down on a lime patch due to it being the only one for a good distance after reading meows post. I just by chance clicked back to this tab in firefox and I'm told different. I will have to put walls down then so they cant just tresspass and dig my lime up? If they do it when I'm sleeping the scent will be gone before I wake.

hmmm,? :?

Oh, no, your lime is safe under any claim, I believe digging it would count as a waste crime. I just corrected Meow about foraged items and answered the part of your questions about the underground crimes. The whole "mine underworld" is free of crimes, since you can not build any claims down there, but crime debuff from trespassing to enter won't go away when you're in, it will take same amount of time as usual to disappear. So you need to have your mine entrance protected. As for lime and other kinds of pits, it is not necessary to wall them, you don't even have to claim them unless you live in a very crowded area or you're area is short on lime.

Thanks, got it now. I changed area again a couple of days ago, and this area is populated way better. For the first time in daily play for maybe 3 weeks, I am constantly coming across scents from crime and there are far more settlements around. Strangely, there are many people that are using no defenses or even claims. A 5 minute walk from me, there's a well maintained place with everything I would need to make when I was searching for a spot nearby. All I had to do was spend like 4 or 500 silver to take everything and it would have saved me many many hours work. I couldn't do that to someone though.
It would probably just lead to 1 less salem player.

Are you claiming 'pick' doesn't leave a scent on pclaim or town? Since I don't raid, I've never attempted it but if true, it's a bug. I have no computer today. :( This will have to be tested later.

Yes, salem inherited this "feature" from hnh, it is as old as crime system itself, so I am not sure it would be an easy fix. I can make a video to show it in action if it helps.
