Gem cutting

While cutting some gems into pear shapes, somehow I made one and it had +63 affluence. How does that happen?

They all are different carats, the big ones give more affluence. Yours must be pretty big, I bet you can sell it for a decent sum of silver.

well my question was answered and now I know the weight of the gem determines the affluence bonus. This one weighed 3.87 carats. Not sure how to post a picture of it on the forum .

Wow 3.87 Carat. That is a nice one :)

Fun Fact: it is entirely possible to get Gems with over +1000 Affluence on a single gem. But gems of those sizes are of course incredibly rare.
