I'm kinda of noob on the pvp side of the game, so what does the scalp score mean and from where does the number come?

Biles and proficiencies.

It's a rough measure of how well you are doing, about as close as you get to having a 'level'. It counts (total humors - 20)*2 + total proficiency points. The -20 is so it doesn't count the humors you started with. Everyone should start with a 0 scalp score.

Your scalpscore is "not important" for your self, but it increased with your proficiencies and biles with time, like the other said.
But the scalpscore will be interesting for other who kill you or the scalpscore of other toons who you are killing.
There is a top10 list at the execusioner in Providence. I remember the 10th is around 4800 yet.
If you can give him a scalp with higher score, you get a reward.

more specifically, you get an executioners mask, which is one of the few slottable items you can wear as a mask.
