FishMaster 1600 Legacy Item

Does the Fishmaster 1600 fishing rod have wear like the other 2 fishing rods?

Or does it last forever sort of like how store bought tools are immune to madness episodes?
(Yes I know the wiki says it just wears much more slowly but sometimes the wiki is outdated)

I believe it still weakens slower
