Turkey Poult Maturation

Is there a way to keep Poults from maturing? Do you pull them out of the coop and then put them back in, or?

I had been storing some on my key alt, thinking they wouldn't age on an alt that's never logged in, but now they're bird skeletons.

I never tried but you might be able to rotate them out of the coop if you find how long they die if not being fed.

Eggs will stop maturing if pulled out for more than 5 mins give or take a minute. So I would try that first. Pull them out for 5 minutes then put them back in the coop. They may not mature because the feed timer on them reset.

Making these dumb pajamas is turning out to be more complicated than I expected.

It seems like you need to run ~5-10 coops to get enough poults at the time frame of their life cycle, so I just built a few temporary extra ones for myself and planning to simply keep them empty once I have enough pajamas.

Yes I quite enjoyed the thought of players thinking "oh this will just take some poults no big deal" and then realizing they need that many poults all at the same time before they turn into hens :).
