Ark of Popham

I have played Salem for about 3 monthes now and I have an alt on Popham. I use to log her when a BM occurs at Providence. I have read that Popham is a test server and that we are supposed to do something (the Ark ?) but I have no clue about that.
Could you tell me where I can get the informations about this Ark and what to do exactly ? What can we expect to get on Providence later ? Is that in relation with the expeditions (I don't find informations about that too) or is it secret like witchcraft ?
With clear explanations, I may be interested in spending time and efforts to reach this target. Thanks for your responses.

Also just search for ark (for short words like Ark use google search "inurl:forum.salemthegame.com ark"), there's lots of discussion on it. Nutshell is it's a race to finish building the ark (find it in town) before a witch ends the world (Popham). If the witch wins, we don't get animals, or maybe just the witch does, or maybe no one does. If the ark wins then players get to bring animals back to Providence.

The nitty gritty specifics are unclear... Not sure whether it's undecided or untold.

It has been said that no one gets animals if the ark doesn't get made. Also making the ark doesn't mean everyone gets animals, just that you can MOVE them to providence if you own some and want to bring them over.

That is a secret known only to the witches.

@About the Ark
We They are currently at :
- dry boards : 3960 already done , 61040 left
- planned boards : 947 already done , 39053 left
- oiled boards : 589 already done , 19411 left
- nails : 2064 already done , 2736 left
- four-leaf clover : 11 already done , 89 left
- wild oats : 39 already done , 61 left
- curious indian corn : 22 already done , 78 left
- walnut : 32 already done , 68 left
- hay : 750 already done , 0 left.

If you have an alt on Popham you can see the build-sign south-east of the town , just south of the water.

@Providence later : if the Ark is completed ( ¦] ) , players will be able to load some animals inside and get them back to providence when Popham ends. There's no clear info on the "loading action" (amount limited for each player ? , free or king's taxes on it ? , animals need to be branded ? ...) . Just that "It will not accept the animals once done until I do some maintenance on the finished structure". So witches shouldn't (I think ^^) be able to end-rush the construction , load their animals , and end the server just after before anyone else load their animals too ; I could be wrong ^^.

Still about Providence you can inherit "a part" of your Popham proficiencies/biles when your Popham character dies in the same terms than usual inheritance (except there's a family statue )
We should not be able to send some objects/stuff/money back to providence but John Carver said that there's still a little chance for it (for exemple here)

@"does anyone know how close we are to the end of the expedition ?" Personnal point of view : we are very very far from it . Too few players , and most important too few "big" factions who can hunt darkness monsters (rumors says there's some drop to get from them) . But I could be wrong ^^
Personnally i thought that Alloin will successfully make it , but it seems he's no longer active. Maybe LOMS ?

Just rumor but I read somewhere on these forums that one of the 'signs' that witches have to complete is in the middle of a town... controlled by someone.

Pretty crappy planning for an expedition server... if true.

Enough exploration will let you bypass that sign. Or just network with one of the witches that already exist. Use those social skills of yours. :P
