Teleport Nerf

Hi,
I've read somewhere that there were plans to nerf teleport (put a cooldown on it or something).
What happened to that idea?

if i remember correctly, the initial nerf was a 40ish second cooldown after porting, something happened and it was changed to the current system, where it takes a minute or so to actually teleport.

Im sure i ***** some detail up, others can correct me, but thats how i remember it.

There was a 10 minutes CD on teleports, iirc 20 minutes during a coldsnap.

correct - you could only teleport to boston once every 10 minutes (no limits on teleporting home with an empty inventory).
It was changed to the current system of teleporting taking 20 seconds after a lot of complaints and nagging at JC's address.

I do not think it was just nagging I think they also realized that it was hurting traders making the idea of a dedicated trader annoying and prompting the use of alts.

I kind of doubt that was the reason, pretty much everything in Salem promotes the use of alts, even being halfway afk and chatting a little. ^^
