I'm so scared....my first Blood Moon...do you guys are used to play during a blood moon or not??
What's the advice for a noob like me...It's better to not log in today?

You can play but you must be alot more careful. Avoid hunting or any fights.
Better just not play or making easy works in your base, like a replant, cooking etc.
That's mine opinion

If you have a walled-in base then you can stay at home and do anything that's not strenuous (assuming your humors are pretty low), like anything but mining/sifting or sawing boards. If you don't have a walled-in base then just don't log in. You never know when some errant beast will stray into you and permakill you.

You could go foraging on a throwaway character.

24h, BUT it is usually less as the server tends to crash right after a BM, thereby resetting it (this time it is different it seems)

Also, you can go to the church in town, sit down there (=praying) and get some free FnW points + makes the BM go away faster.
You can do that with an alt or multiple alts if you feel like it, no need to take any risk with your main(s) on a BM.

I play with an alt. The only known thing so far is that you get the unique blood shards when sifting rubble. There are other unique stuff we can do but people wont share the info.

My first bloodmoon was pretty fun. I made an alt with rights of englishmen and koed like 5 people. Then Sipo and me started a noob base outside of providence with fresh alts, 2 hours later i killed him while he was streaming

Then i got summoned while still online and got killed too

be very very careful. Also, I would recommend against going to Providence during the blood moon, as someone might have spawned giant bats there like they did a few days back.

if you want to take risks and need C&D, you can sift during a blood moon for blood shards.

Giant bats will not attack you unless you attack them first.

What most people are failing to mention though... Your best option is to work in your mine if you have one. If you are KO'd in a mine during a blood moon you will not die. Also no need to worry about the bats KOing you and then immediately doing it again when you respawn if you use Latikai because it has an auto-drop bat feature.

yes but they spawn regular bats. but yea all the rest is a good point

To the 2 posts before mine:

The small bats dont attack you in providence either, at least not the last time I walked past some bats there.

Mining on a BM is very risky, chances are you spawn a bat => KO => bat still on your neck => KO => death
