I like foraging, but I'm kind of lazy and want to do it on my main, but I'm not sure how dangerous that is. I know it's a rare occurrence for there to be advanced raiders just wandering around the map, but I was wondering if there is some sort of program that people use for that sort of thing? some sort of radar enhancement program that detects things from a much further distance away than normal? It seems like having it would be beneficial and not having it would be dangerous if other people are using it while I'm not.

There is no such thing as an extended radar. You're all in the same boat there.

there is no such thing around: the server only sends info about things in your standard view range and it can't be tricked (I know, I've tried ).
What is probably possible is linking something like a sound warning to the arrival of someone in your view range, but the public clients do not have that and I am not aware of anyone doing that.

i made a script on autoit, that will alert me if the colour i've set as players pop up on the minimap, helped me dodge some bullets over the years.
that's about the most advanced legit thing you can do as far as i know

oh, I see. Is there some way to safely get something like that nowadays if you don't know how to do it yourself?
